Refund Policy

At Clarke Building Assessments, we take pride in providing professional, unbiased property assessments. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which a refund may be provided.

1. Cancellations

More than 24 hours’ notice:
Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled inspection will receive a full refund if the service is no longer required.

Within 24 hours:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled inspection will incur a $150 cancellation fee to cover booking, preparation, and lost time.

Multi-inspection packages:
The $150 cancellation fee does not apply to any unused inspections if fewer than three are completed. However, if you proceed with all three inspections, the cancellation fee will apply to any cancelled inspections within the package (if cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment) prior to delivery of the third report.
Once all three inspections have been completed and reports delivered, no further refunds or adjustments apply.

No-shows / Access Issues:
If the inspector is unable to complete the assessment due to inaccessibility, locked gates, or inability to gain access, a $200 cancellation fee will apply.

2. After the Inspection Has Been Conducted

Once an inspection has been carried out, no refunds will be issued, regardless of whether the report has been delivered. This is because the service—the inspection—has already been completed.

3. Unsatisfactory Reports or Disputes

All reports provided are professional opinions based on a visual, non-invasive inspection conducted at a specific point in time. They are not guarantees, warranties, or certifications.

We do not offer refunds based on disagreement with findings or dissatisfaction with the outcome of an assessment.

If you believe an error has occurred in the reporting process, please contact us. We will review your concern and may offer clarification or amendment at our discretion.

4. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If a service is not provided with due care and skill or does not match what was agreed, you may be entitled to a remedy. However, dissatisfaction with the result of a report does not constitute grounds for a refund.
